Slow down! you don't want to rush into this too quickly. Choosing what to engrave on your ring can feel like a lot of pressure. Indeed this is something that you will be carrying around with you every day.

Tip 1: Keep It Short and Meaningful

Less is more - when it comes to engraving this old adage has never been more applicable. 

While we all can agree having the lyrics from Queens "Bohemian rhapsody" engraved on your ring would be pretty sweet, one morning you will open your eyes, look up to the skies and see that maybe that wasn't the best idea. (I'm sorry)

You have to take into account the amount of space your working with. Short phrases, initials, or dates would be your best bet and often have the biggest impact. Not only do they fit better inside the ring, but they’re also easier to read and feel more timeless.

Examples:

• Initials (N & M)
• Short phrase ("Forever Yours")
• Wedding date (15.07.26)
• Or a combination of 2

Whilst in the moment it might feel like a great idea to immortalise a trend, ask yourself: will it still have meaning in a few years?

Can all rings be engraved?

Most rings can be engraved, but the available space and material may affect what’s possible.

How many letters can I have engraved?

This will depend on the size of ring you order. When you select Engraving as an option with your Wonder Ring, we will contact you to confirm the details before we prepare your ring. Typically 40-50 characters is fine.

What font is used and can I have a different one?

By default we engrave our rings in Arial font. You can choose a different font if you prefer. Either any standard font you would typically find on your computer, or for something a bit different we can fonts available from font directories such as fontspace.com. 

Can you engrave symbols or pictures?

Yes, we can engrave a wide range of popular symbols such as hearts, diamonds, infinity, zodiac signs, etc. We can also engrave motifs or artwork that is not too complex. 

Do you engrave on the outside or inside of the ring?

By default we engrave the inside of the ring, however we are also able to engrave on the outside of most rings. 

Does engraving wear off over time?

On durable materials like tungsten, engravings can last a long time with minimal wear.
